REDDITCH'S Adam Mytton continued his impressive run in the Schools Boxing Championships by clinching a place in the National Finals at Barnsley.
The St Augustine's High School pupil had the edge in all three rounds against Darlington's Lee Hepper in the semi final at Haden Hill Leisure Centre, Cradley Heath on Saturday.
The Droitwich ABC member survived a fitness scare after injuring his hand in the previous round and will head north for the final on Saturday, March 29.
In a low scoring bout Mytton's speed of punching and movement were decisive.
Mytton is the fifth Droitwich boxer to reach the National Schools Finals in the past six years and has done it in record time after converting from kickboing only a year ago.
He has a record of 11 wins from 13 contests.
