LIVE Aid hero Bob Geldof and Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant were in Bewdley yesterday for the funeral of close friend Michael "The Mick" Owen.
The stars were among mourners at All Saints' Church, Wribbenhall, to pay their last respects to Mr Owen, of Bewdley, who died on March 8.
He managed Geldof's band The Boomtown Rats during the 80s and remained a close friend of the 48-year-old star, pictured left.
Mr Owen died, aged 56, after a long battle with cancer. He was married to Barbara and had a son Andrew and granddaughter Olivia.
Musician Ian Gibbons, who played with The Kinks, said: "He was a fine gentle man with a very caring nature."
