BRITISH LEGION WOMENS SECTION: Held their meeting in the Betteridge Room. After the business Mr N L Brown was introduced who spoke on the History of Textiles. Mr Brown was thanked by Mrs J Holder.
Congratulations was conveyed to Emma on winning the West Midlands area standard bearers' competition, and good luck for national.
Hostesses were Mrs Crowther and Mrs Cragg. Monthly prize was won by Mrs Bright.
Next meeting is on April 2, hostesses Mrs D Collins, Mrs M Gregg and Mrs D Harris. Monthly prize Mrs P Kearsey. Speaker will be Martin Brookes on Vale Wild Life Rescue.
