An Open Letter to the Prime Minister. Dear Mr Blair

IT is my opinion that you, and myself by implication as a citizen of this country, are about to perpetrate dreadful war crimes, which will lead to the deaths of innocent women and children, against a sovereign state that has committed no acts of aggression against our country.

Waging War against Iraq without the wholehearted endorsement of the UN is not only inexcusable but shows a reckless disregard for the possible consequences of widespread conflict in the Middle East.

I have no Cabinet position to resign from, to emulate Robin Cook's Honourable and Christian gesture but I can at least state that you do not have my support and I categorically forbid your use of my taxes for such an illegal war.

MICHAEL PARKER, Grange Cottage, Main Street, Sedgeberrow.
