HOCKEY: A thrilling match saw Stourport Ladies firsts draw 6-6 with Bromsgrove at home in Worcestershire League Division One.
The advantage swung one way then the other but Stourport were the first to score when Kate Bailey crossed for Wilma Martin to knock home.
The visitors drew level before Bailey scored the first of her hat-trick but again Bromsgrove equalised and were 4-2 ahead by the break.
Bailey's second goal narrowed the gap but Bromsgrove regained the two-goal lead before Melisa Kennedy and Fran Long replied.
Stourport forged ahead through Bailey's third goal with seven minutes left but Bromsgrove snatched a point following a short-corner.
Bromsgrove 0 Stourport 2nds 1
Stourport came away with all three points from Worcestershire League Division Two, thanks to Colleen Kiley's goal.
The visitors shot wide after the break before Kiley forced home from close range with 10 minutes left.
Bromsgrove's attempts to reply in the dying minutes were thwarted by strong defending from Julia Hopkins, Di Hayman and Pat Terry.
Kidderminster 5 Stourport 3rds 1
Stourport found their rivals too strong as they failed to do the double in Worcestershire League Division Three.
Kidderminster, who gained promotion with the win, went ahead on 15 minutes and added a second following a scramble.
Stourport came back stronger after the break and Sandra Barlow passed to Annette Kirk at the near post and she narrowed the deficit.
But Kidderminster re-established their two-goal cushion and sealed the points with two further strikes.
Their goal-scorers were Kaye McDonald (two), Rachael Fidoe, Kate McGowan and Lucy Prior.
