GYMNASTICS: Hannah Pietkowicz's win at the West Midland British Development Plan Championships means she will represent the region at the National Club Grade Finals in Kettering on May 3 and 4.
The 14-year-old Wyre Forest Gymnastics School member scored 35.65 in grade one, gaining a distinction.
Also qualifying for the West Midlands finals was Harriet Atterbury, 12, who managed 35.05 to gain a distinction in third place.
Joining the two girls will be Chelsea Hodges, 11, who finished fourth with a distinction in grade two where she scored 34.6.
Annabelle Scott, nine, qualified to represent the West Midlands at the National Compulsory Grade finals in Birmingham on May 10 and 11.
Over 145 gymnasts attempted their compulsory and club grades at the regional championships in Birmingham.
Compulsory grades needed a score of 35 to pass and club grades required 28.
Full results, compulsory grade four: Alex Perry, 9 (7th, 33.467); Scott, 9 (4th, 34.5).
Club grade one: Pietkowicz, 14 (1st, 35.65); Atterbury, 12 (3rd, 35.05).
Club grade two: Hodges, 11 (4th, 34.6), Alice Pretty, 11 (20th, 31.125)ali Taylor, 14 (22nd, 30.7).
Club grade three: Gemma Beddows, 10 (32.833), Jessica Gwilliam, 12 (30.833), Chloe Jagpal, 10 (30.467).
The girls all train 12 hours a week at Baxter College, Kidderminster, under coach Ann Combes who holds classes for all ages and abilities.
