THE fishery record was broken on Sunday morning when M Thompkinson, from Solihull Angling Centre, weighed in with a catch of carp at 98lb 8oz 3dr, using sweetcorn bait.
A total weight of 435lb of fish was caught in a Dragonfly Pool contest.
Winter League result: Thompkinson (Solihull AC) 98-8-3, J McCann (Fishermans Knockout) 64-1, Doug Greenow (Solihull AC) 36-11-5.
