A TAXI driver changed his pleas when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court for trial on three charges arising from a ride in another cab.
Richard Jenkins, 38, of Woodfield Street, Kidderminster, originally denied making off without paying the £3.20 fare and damaging the car belonging to Central Taxis on Bonfire Night last year.
He also denied making a racially aggravated common assault on the driver, Malik Hussain, but admitted common assault.
All three pleas were accepted by prosecutor Malcolm Parkes, who said that both men were taxi drivers and Mr Malik was content that the case should not go to trial on the basis of alleged racial remarks.
Judge John Cavell remanded Jenkins on bail for a pre-sentence report.
