AN Evesham mum has paid tribute to her 27-year-old son who died after collapsing during a night out with friends
Lee Carter, of New Street, The Leys, was taken home by taxi on February 28, but the next morning he was discovered to be paralysed down one side of his body.
He was admitted to the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch the next day but died on Tuesday March 4.
His mother, Irene Carter of Wards Close, Evesham said her son had everything to live for.
He was planning to marry his partner Shain this year, and their daughter Katylee, aged five, was looking forward to being a bridesmaid.
Mrs Carter, of Wards Close, Evesham, said: "Lee's death was the most traumatic thing the family will every encounter. He was a loving father and doted on his daughter."
She added: "Lee was a most loveable, affectionate and very deep man. He touched many hearts and once you had been in his company you would never forget. He would do anything for anyone."
Born in Evesham, Lee went to St Andrew's CE First School, Hampton, and later to Evesham High School.
He had a number of jobs before joining Betta Bedding as a lorry driver, and Mrs Carter said: "He loved his job."
Managing director of Betta Bedding, Nik Spencer said: "Lee was a very conscientious and hardworking man. We are only a small firm and Lee's death has affected everyone. He will be greatly missed."
Lee was involved in boxing when he was younger and always took a keen interest in the sport.
He is survived by his partner and their daughter, his mother and father, Irene and Lynn Carter, sisters Lisa and Louise and brothers Jason and Marcus.
The funeral service at St Peter's Church, Bengeworth, last Thursday, conducted by the Rev Barrie Collins, Vicar of Bengeworth, was followed by cremation at Cheltenham.
An inquest into Mr Carter's death was opened and adjourned last week to a date to be fixed.
