KIDDERMINSTER Carolians finished runners-up in the U-9s and U-11s competitions at the Birmingham and Solihull Mini Rugby Festival.
The U-9s were unlucky not to win, losing 5-0 to eventual winners Stratford due to a handling error against the run of play.
They also conceded a late try in a 5-5 draw with Birmingham and Solihull but won the rest of their fixtures with good displays.
Sam Bills (three), Tom Redfern (two), Luke Taylor (two), Charles Newbould, Alfie Richard, Julian Petitjean and Ben Knott grabbed the tries.
The U-9s won every match apart from a 5-0 defeat to overall victors Stratford with William Short and Rupert French top scoring with three tries. Jacob Savage and Callum Wilson also dived over.
The U-7s lost their four matches, while the U-8s enjoyed a win and a draw among a feast of tries.
Francesca Short (three), Luke Mundi (three), Charlie Hopkirk (two), Jonty Newbould (two), Lewis Hardy (two), Christopher Beddall, Jordan Hatch and James Tildesley all scored.
