The home side went ahead with Kate Bail-ey taking the ball in from the right, then crossing it for Wilma Martin to score.

The visitors pulled back to 1-1 before Bail-ey, with the first of her hat-trick, gave Stourport the advantage once more only for Bromsgrove to again pull level. With Stour-port missing chances it was the visitors who scored twice more to lead 4-2 at the break.

Stourport were far from being down and out, Bailey's second clawling the score back to 4-3. But again Bromsgrove scored to ext-end their lead before a similar strike to Martin by Melisa Kennedy drew the score back to 5-4. Then a Bromsgrove foot on the line in defence of a short corner allowed Fran Long to convert the penalty stroke.

Stourport retook the lead through Bailey's hat-trick goal with seven minutes left.

But the action wasn't over yet and with the last touch of the match Bromsgrove equal-ised.

The first half was dominated by the midfields of both teams, with few scoring opportunities at each end.

With a goalless first half both sides knew the result could hinge on a signal scoring chance.

Stourport pushed forward early in the second half, with their best chance, to unlock the deadlock going wide.

But with 10 minutes left on the clock, a Stourport attack finally ended with a goal for Colleen Kiley who forced her shot home from close range.
