Worcester City 6,

Evesham Utd Ladies 0

EVESHAM United's Ladies wound up their first season in the Kidderminster County League with a heavy defeat at the hands of Worcester City.

Forced to field an under strength team due to a number of injuries, Evesham collapsed in the final 16 minutes of Sunday's Wyvern Asso-ciates League Cup game to give their visitors victory by a rather flattering scoreline.

Evesham went behind in the second minute when Emma Richardson was allowed to run at the defence and place a shot past Mandy Upton.

Worcester doubled their advantage after 15 minutes when Debbie Band was allowed time to turn and find the net as the ball bounced around in the penalty area.

For the next hour Evesham defended well but always lacked a cutting edge up front and could make nothing of a number of chances they created.

Charlotte Benson-Wilson had a well-struck free-kick saved - at the expense of a corner and combined well with Tasha Kuiper to produce another save from the City keeper.

However, further goals from Richardson, Lucy Taylor and two from Diane O'Hare completed the scoring and gave Worcester their fourth victory over the Common Roaders this season.
