President Pat Darby gave information to members at the March meeting about forthcoming visits to Birmingham Think Tank, the Lowry Centre, Manchester, and St Fagans, at Cardiff.
The Forest Group has also organised events such as walks, a car treasure hunt and a pudding evening.
Jane Cooke reported that the skittles team had won all four matches played so far. Jan Pearce collected knitted garments for The Gambia.
Mervyn Silcox then gave a slide show on Gardens to Visit, which included gardens in France and Holland, as well as cottage and stately home gardens in this country.
The next meeting will be on April 14 at 7.15pm in Shaw Hedge Community Centre, Wribbenhall, when P Rogers will give a talk on the History of Cheese Making. There will be a "bring and buy" stall. Visitors will be welcome.
