THE Magnets, a boy band with a difference, will be appearing at The Roses, Tewkesbury, on March 28.
On first impressions this six-piece could be mistaken for just another pop group. Until you realise the band's music is made with voices only.
Vocal percussionist Andy Frost provides an array of sounds, from bass drum to high hat. Colin plays bass while James, Michael, Nic and Steve complete the act with harmonies and lead vocals.
In the past year alone the group has performed with Craig David and Tom Jones. They also appeared at the 2002 Queen's Jubilee Palace concert and London's Mardi Gras.
Whether performing 80s covers such as Blame it on the Boogie and Sign your name, or their own material, the band are guaranteed to provide an unforgettable night of entertainment. Tickets cost £10 and the show starts at 7.30pm. Call the box office on 01684 295074 for more information.
