Elaine Bevan-Smith, the group's professional adviser, spoke about a new "wonder" drug, at the March meeting.
She also told about tests in Spain regarding pulmonary rehabilitation.
Members are worried about the possible axing of pulmonary rehabilitation in this area, and as a group will be working to try to prevent this. Chairman Mike Bowker has already written to the powers that be regarding this.
The next meeting will be on April 1, when Jill Smith, from Air Products, will give a talk and show some of the company's latest gadgets. It is hoped to give details about a proposed river trip and pub lunch.
Any update on pulmonary rehabilitation will be reported.
The meeting, at Osborne Court, Osborne Road, Malvern Link, will run from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
