AN egg-citing fund-raising push is expected to see nearly 8,000 British bikers raising much-needed cash for underprivileged children living in foster homes.
And among their number will be Stourport's Mick Worrall, of Virago Stars Owners Club - a bikers' group - who is hoping his club's 25th annual egg run on Sunday would not only pull in thousands of pounds but thousands of Easter eggs as well. Mick Worrall is hoping to collect cash and Easter eggs with a charity run.
Mr Worrall, who will be dressed as a chicken during the event, said: "The egg run will start from Britannia Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent. The Wyre Forest meeting point will be at B and Q Kidderminster at 8.15am.
"Those without bikes can still join in - people line the streets with chocolates and donations which is always amazing - all we need is £1 and an Easter egg."
The 56-year-old businessman, of Layamon Walk, added: "We ride our bikes to deliver the chocolate eggs to the children living in foster homes in the Midlands."
