AN auction is drawing on the talents of regional and national artists to help raise money for a sensory garden.
A selection of watercolours, prints, photographs, oils and cartoons are among the works going under the hammer to help generate funds for the Magdalaine Gardens project in Victoria Park, Malvern.
More than 150 pieces of work, from artists such as Antony Gormley, who created the Angel of the North statue near Gateshead, Aubrey Phillips, Bethan Ash and David Bellamy, will be up for grabs at Malvern Hills College on Friday, March 28.
The garden project, which will cost around £30,000, will contain raised beds, seating areas, a water feature and a range of plants providing a variety of sights and smells.
"The aim is to create a garden that is accessible to all, especially those with any sensory impairments," said co-ordinator Viv Owens.
"We've had about £10,000 in donations so far to begin the first stage of the project and we hope this auction will bring extra funds in."
The work, due to begin in March, is being co-ordinated by the Malvern Access group and Malvern Town Council.
The auction is being held at the college in Albert Road North, Malvern.
Viewings are from 5.30pm where commission bids can be placed, and Sophie Hutton, from Philip Serrell auctioners, will begin bidding at 7.30pm.
