EXPRESS Golf & Gambling Society (EGGS) played their final event of their calendar year at Wharton Park, for the Express Egg Cup kindly sponsored by the Express Inn.
Glorious weather and a superb course made it another day to remember, especially for Jason Lloyd who stormed the event with 41 points (his first golfing honours) beating Steve Phillpots into second and Stacey Cole into third.
Jason and Stacey combined with Phil Birch to take the team event, whilst also ensuring they swept the board with Stacey taking nearest the pin and only Phil Smalley spoiling the party to rob Phil Birch of longest drive.
Surprise of the day was tournament favourite Danny Williams who trailed in last to take the much coveted vest of shame with a reasonable score of 23 points.
All club members are reminded that the EGGS AGM is to be held at the Express on April 2 at 7.30pm.
