YOUNG Lorcan was a convincing winner of the Men's Open race at the Ross Harriers point to point meeting at Garnons on Sunday as he cruised to a easy two lengths win over Watchyourback.
Young jockey Sam Thomas won the Intermediate Novice Riders on Ashgreen and completed a double aboard Bobs Lad in the first division of the Maiden race for debutante trainer Carol Voyce.
Bobs Lad is the only pointer at her base at Upper Pendock, near Malvern, and she was full of praise for the 18-year-old Thomas, who is attached to the Venetia Williams yard, as he coolly scored a three-length win over second placed Huntersway with Simply Devine a further six lengths back in third.
