A FUNDRAISING cabaret evening held for an aspiring young Upton actor has raised £850.
Cabaret for Two, held at Upton Memorial Hall, on Saturday, March 8, was packed out and featured, singing, dancing and acting, partly in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice.
Half the money raised will also go to Harry Arnold-Harris, a Hanley Castle High School pupil who is raising money to embark on a prestigious National Youth Theatre course in London at Easter next year.
Harry needs to raise about £800 to pay for the course and living expenses. He was awarded one of only 120 places available nationally on the course at the first attempt.
Event organiser Mandi Harris, Harry's mother and a presenter on BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester, said the event had gone very well.
"We had a really great evening, everyone enjoyed themselves," she said.
