AMENDED plans for Upton Marina are broadly similar to previous proposals, according to Upton Town Council.
Owners Walton Marine have submitted revised plans to double the size of the marina and create 45 chalets and 60 apartments.
Coun Simon Wilkinson told the planning sub-committee the plans appeared to be an attempt to meet Environment Agency requirements.
Coun Wilkinson voiced concerns that the new buildings would be only marginally above the five-year flood level, designed to protect properties from severe flooding.
Committee chairman Coun Roger Barker said: "If you look at the chalets there are certainly one of two that are quite near to the houses at Ryall. It's certainly not 30ft away."
The amendments were noted by the committee.
