LANGLAND Sports are top of table in Division One of the Worcester Saturday League at present.
LANGLAND SPORTS 5, FERNHILL HEATH SPURS 2
Their opposition always seem to play well above their normal standard but Sports seem to find that extra gear as they did on Saturday.
Fernhill Heath Spurs took a first half lead with Jason Towers and Dean Harrison scoring just before half time.
Sam Dakin and David Lewis started to take control of midfield for Sports and created chances for Nick Kordas, Wayne Cadmore and Stuart Harvey.
Harvey hit superb form, and in the space of 30 minutes he scored four well taken goals that put Sports in full control.
Jason Howes, Steven Brooks, Steven Hudson and Dale Humphries played well at the back and protected Ali Barnes in the Langlands Sports goal.
Dean Drinkwater played well, playing yet again in an unfamiliar position, and with Wayne Cadmore scored to make the final score 5-2. It finished a very good fight back and deserved win for Langland Sports.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Langland Sports entertain Goodrest Sports. Players meet 2pm at Victoria Park.
On Sunday, Langland Sports are away to AFC Northwick, meet Victoria Park 9.15am.
