WEST Malvern's poor home form continued on Saturday when they were beaten 7-4 in the Worcester Saturday League Division One.
WEST MALVERN 4, OAK APPLE 7
Forced to make numerous changes because of injuries and players unavailable West suffered their worst defeat of the season.
Due to atrocious defending they conceded two early goals in the first ten minutes.
In the 40th minute Lee Tracey reduced the arrears but within ten minutes of the restart Oak Apple had gone into a 4-1 lead. The West came back and once again Lee Tracey scored. Although they were creating chances they were missing them but once again poor defending let Oak Apple in to go 5-2 up.
From a penalty Lee Tracey converted for his hat-trick but this only resulted in Oak Apple scoring once again to go 6-3 up.
From a free kick Graham Maclennan scored direct to reduce the arrears again but as previously once again Oak apple scored.
The West can look for more many excuses but at the end of the day it was poor defending and a poor all round performance.
Tomorrow (Saturday) West Malvern, sponsored by Amey, travel to play New Inn Pershore and will have to give a much improved performance to come away with anything. Players meet 1.30pm Bluebell, Guarlford Road, Malvern.
