A MOTHER and daughter who share a passion for scuba diving have formed a travel firm in Newland, near Malvern.
Kay Slater, who was educated at The Chase before working in travel, was keen to set up in business on her own. With mother Patricia being a qualified diver, the two have formed Diveworld, offering diving holidays all over the world, and A2Z Travel Direct to cater for travel requirements.
Patricia said: "I have been diving for about eight years and been all over the place. It's an adventure. It's something different from anything else you could ever do.
"I taught Kay to dive a couple of years ago. You rediscover you children when you share a hobby like that and we work well together."
The Slaters say they are already attracting internet business from as far afield as the USA. As a result of Patricia's recent trip to Bonaire, in the Caribbean, she has been asked to act as UK representative to the former Dutch colony.
