PROMOTION-chasing Kidderminster Harriers are gearing up for a crucial period in their season which begins tomorrow with a Nationwide League Division Three match against bottom-of-the-table Swansea City at Aggborough (3pm).
After dropping two valuable points in a 2-2 home with Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday, Harriers are treating the Swans visit as a 'must-win' clash.
They will go into the match in ninth position, just one point away from a play-off place and four adrift of an automatic promotion spot.
"The draw with Shrewsbury was an extra point towards the play-off places, but it just means we have got to win tomorrow," said Harriers' manager Ian Britton.
His side will be aiming to repeat the free-scoring form they produced at Swansea's Vetch Field ground earlier this season when they triumphed 4-0 with goals from Sam Shilton, Drewe Broughton and John Melligan.
Their tally was made up by an own goal which enabled Harriers to register their biggest win so far in the Football League.
Front-runner Broughton, who notched both his side's goals against the Shrews this week, is confident the Aggborough outfit can overcome tomorrow's hurdle before they start preparing for Tuesday's trip to promotion hopefuls Lincoln City.
He said: "We're getting to the stage of the season with ten games left that, as the manager has pointed out, we've now got to be looking to win every game to guarantee we're in the shake-up. They are all must-win now."
Harriers will be checking on the fitness of leading scorer Bo Henriksen before finalising their line-up.
The Danish striker, who has scored 18 goals so far this season, has missed the last two matches because of a niggling groin injury.
However, midfielder Dean Bennett and defender Kenny Coleman again look like sitting out the game.
Bennett, who has not played since February 22, is still battling to overcome hamstring trouble while on-loan Kenny Coleman, who will be released by Wolves at the end of the season, continues to be dogged by a stomach/groin injury.
Meanwhile, boss Brian Flynn's struggling Swans are currently staring relegation in the face with only two away league wins to their credit, including Tuesday night's 2-0 success at Southend.
It was their first victory in six matches which included goalless draws with Wrexham, Boston and Torquay.
FORMCAST: Harriers to add to the Swans worries with a 2-0 win.
