A WORCESTERSHIRE construction company has won a prestigious award that means the firm's bosses will go to Canada on a fact-finding mission.
Thomas Vale Construction, in Stourport-on-Severn, has won the Inside UK Enterprise (IUKE) award for outstanding contribution to the construction sector.
Established in 1982, IUKE promotes the principles of Best Practice by allowing companies to learn from each other.
Thomas Vale's managing director, Tony Hyde, and Best Practice director, Bill Munn, will go to Canada to study how Best Practice has been adopted there.
"Thomas Vale has embraced the principles of Best Practice and this culture permeates through the whole company," said Mr Hyde.
"We all firmly believe that the secret to future success for Thomas Vale, and indeed the industry, is through the fostering and developing of partner-relationships and an attitude that facilitates co-operation and collaboration throughout the supply chain."
