SCHOOLS are being encouraged to give underprivileged children a sporting chance by holding a Fair Play Day.
The NSPCC has teamed up with the governing bodies of the main school sports to organise a week of sporting events in primary schools.
It is providing resource packs to teachers, giving them everything they need to organise a fun day of sports and classroom activities.
The Fair Play Days will take place during the week beginning Monday, June 30.
The charity hopes schools will use the events to raise money for the NSPCC Full Stop campaign, which aims to put an end to cruelty to children.
Teachers should call 0800 389 9258 for more information.
