PUPILS at Bredon School have been enjoying one of the highlights of the farming year - the arrival of lambing time.
Twelve-year-old boarders Hamish Cory-Wright and William Phillips are among youngsters who have given up their spare time to keep watch over sheep about to give birth at the school farm.
The school at Bushley, near Upton-upon-Severn, has had a farm since it was founded 40 years ago.
Older pupils can choose farming-related options such as NVQ Agriculture and GNVQ in Land & Environment, while the farm is also used to help bring lessons to life for younger children.
They can learn about maths by measuring out animal feed, or write English essays on the pigs.
"We are very fortunate to have the farm, which is an excellent facility for all our children," said headmaster Mike Newby.
"Everyone looks forward to lambing as a sign that spring really has arrived."
