The second weekend of the Worcestershire County Championships saw Worcester Swimming Club swimmers compete against the best swimmers from across the county at the Sansome Walk pool.
In the women's 200 metre freestyle, 11-year-old Samantha Payne got a silver medal and gained a qualifying time for the Midland District Championships to be held at Coventry in June.
She also gained district times for her efforts in the 100m freestyle and the 100m backstroke.
Gemma Ramsden got gold in the 14-year age group inside the District qualifying time for the Youth Championships.
She also got gold in the 100m freestyle again inside the district qualifying time and swam in the open age group final finishing third and picking up a bronze.
Monica McCluskey swimming at this level for the first time picked up a bronze medal in the 9-year age group, and was also fifth in the 50m freestyle.
Elinor Martin and Rachel Stoddart won gold and silver respectively in the 19/24 age group.
Martin also got gold in the 400m individual medley, 100m backstroke and 200m breaststroke and silver in the 100m freestyle, and Stoddart won gold in the 100m freestyle, silver in the 400m individual medley and silver in the 100m backstroke.
The men's 100m backstroke saw Oliver Stoddart get bronze in the 16-year age group and Ewan Martin take gold and Edward Lumley bronze in the 17/18 years.
In the 19/24 age group Gordon Reeves got gold and Andy Lowe silver. Reeves, Martin and Lowe then swam in the open age group final and finished first, second and third respectively.
The women's 400m individual medley followed with silver medals picked up by 13-year-old Chloe Naughton and 15- year-old Katie Askew and bronze by 13-year-old Danielle Hunt.
In the afternoon session Andrew Bourne and Oliver Stoddart won silvers in the 15 and 16-year sections of the men's 200m freestyle respectively.
In the same event Gordon Reeves took gold and Andy Lowe silver in the 19/24 age group. Reeves and Lowe also won gold and silver respectively in the 100m freestyle county champion final.
Ewan Martin picked up golds in the men's 400m individual medley and 200m breaststroke gaining two more championship titles both in competition best times. He also won the senior men's overall best trophy.
In the women's 50m backstroke there were third places for Jennifer Rollins, Becky Cox and Sammy Payne in the 9, 10 and 11-year age groups.
Edward Lumley got silver in the 17/18 years 400m individual medley and Oliver Stoddart silver in the 16-year group.
In the 15-year age group of the men's 100m freestyle Andrew Bourne won a a bronze in a Midland district qualifying time, and in the women's 200m breaststroke 10-year-old Lydia Williams got a bronze and swam inside the Midland time for her age group. She was also second in the 50m freestyle.
Other swimmers placed from fourth to sixth in their age groups: Matthew Turner, Rupert Monkhouse, Monica McCluskey, James Hallam, Ben Jones, Haylea Pyle, Sean Young, Alicia Bayliss, Matthew Everest, Gabrielle Allen, Richard Istead, Alexandra Pritchard, Nick Williams, Matthew Wells, Gemma Hutchins and Chris Reeves.
