A CASH dispenser believed to have been stolen from Hereford Leisure Centre over the weekend has been found dumped in a Worcester transport yard.
Gil Harding, who runs Davlyn Marine Services, in Basin Road, Diglis, found the empty machine yesterday.
"You wouldn't be able to miss it - it's the size of a filing cabinet," he said.
"I'd heard about the ram raid at Hereford Leisure Centre on the news and when I saw the name inside the cabinet I tied the two together."
Burglars used what is thought to have been a green Renault Laguna to smash the side doors at Hereford Leisure Centre and take off with the cash machine on Sunday at around 11.20pm.
Mr Harding, of Powick, said the machine looked as though an angle grinder had been used by the burglars to open it up.
A spokesman for Hereford police confirmed a call was received from Mr Harding on Tuesday afternoon.
Anyone with information about the leisure centre burglary should call PC Steve Holmes, at Hereford Police Station, on 08457 444888.
