BROMSGROVE Hockey Club Ladies Seconds won their last match of the season 2-1 against Upton at Malvern.
Upton, originally struggling to field a full team, put out a strong side and Bromsgrove were unexpectedly under pressure.
The hosts went 1-0 up midway into the first half but Bromsgrove were level just after the break when a direct long push from Clare Berrisford found Amanda Johnson who dribbled past three Upton defenders to
score a crucial goal.
Johnson scored a similar goal late on to seal the win.
Captain Helen Hartiss said: "Ironically, today was one of the best matches I've seen the team play as it's traditional for Bromsgrove to go 1-0 down in the first half.
"To equalise would have been a good enough result for me but I'm absolutely ecstatic at the win."
