A COMPLAINT was made at Bromsgrove Rural District Council about the manner in which swine fever regulations were administered. It was stated that it was of great inconvenience to farmers that no one had been at Redditch police station to sign the removal orders, last week.
DR Cameron Kidd, the medical officer, gave his report on the health of the district to North Bromsgrove Urban District Council. He said the birth rate was 27 out of 43 and there had been one fatal case of scarlet fever in Rubery but in general the health was good.
THE Stoke Prior school board decided to issue a summons to the parents of a child who had only attended 22 lessons out of 62.
THERE was a complaint at Belbroughton Parish Council that a Fairfield resident had been overlooked when it came to the parish charities. He said that others in the district, including owners of property, had received charities.
THE annual prize-giving in connection with the Worcester Street Baptist Sunday school took place. There was a good tea and entertainment in the form of recitations and dialogues.
BROMSGROVE Rovers beat King's Norton 10-0 at Well Lane. It was the first time the Rovers had reached double figures in living memory.
