A SPLASH of colour will be brought into the lives of elderly Spa residents, thanks to a generous gardening centre.
Webbs of Wychbold donated a number of young plants, known as plugs, to eight Droitwich schools on Monday (March 17).
The plants will be nurtured by Spa students over the coming months before being transferred to the gardens of care homes for the elderly across Droitwich.
The scheme, now in its fourth year is a partnership between the A38-based garden centre and the Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa.
Rotarian Gordon Mevar, who collected the plugs, said: "This has been a very successful scheme so far, thanks to the generosity of Webbs and the partnership between the Rotary Club and the schools."
Schools taking part include: St Peter's First, Chawson First, Cutnall Green First, Ombersley First, Hindlip First, West Acre Middle, Witton Middle and Droitwich Spa High. Gordon added that next year there maybe a number of other town schools involved in the scheme.
