AN official opening ceremony struck the right chord with town worshippers who were delighted to see the organ at Bromsgrove Parish Church back in tip top condition. The Bromsgrove Parish Church instrument had been restored and moved from the Stafford chantry chapel to the south east corner of the church. Sir Harold Brakspear made the recommendation that it was moved 25 years before. The total cost of the work was £4,110 and the revamped organ boasted a new electro-pneumatic action and several tone colours were added.
