AN inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a pensioner who was found lying in his home with a broken hip and died later in hospital.
The inquest heard that Raymond Moore, 80, had not been seen for three days at his warden controlled accommodation in Forest View, Crabbs Cross.
The warden entered Mr Moore's home and found him on the floor.
He was still talking at that stage and thought he might have fainted, said Worcestershire Coroner Victor Round.
He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital with a broken left hip and operated on.
But after surgery, he developed pneumonia and died on March 17.
Mr Round adjourned the inquest to await more details from the warden.
