ORGANISERS of a day to promote the Special Constabulary in Alcester have said it was a great success.
A variety of different events were organised throughout the day, held to raise the profile of specials, including anti-social behaviour patrols and a station open day.
More than 35 bikes, mobile phones, cameras and lawn mowers were security tagged by police.
District and county councillor Susan Juned and Alcester Court Leet also visited and were shown the latest police equipment and vehicles used by the specials.
Anyone interested in joining the specials can call either the national recruitment line on 0845 608 3000 or the county specials team on 01926 415052.
