A COUPLE can certainly claim to have kept in step with each other over the years as they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at the weekend.
Brenda and George Farnell are well known faces at the popular Gemini Dance School in Easemore Road, Redditch, having danced there for more than 30 years.
Though they live in West Heath, they say they have met and made more friends in Redditch through their dancing than anywhere else.
After learning ballroom, latin and sequence dancing under the tutelage of Gemini founders Beryl Hill and the late Albert Etheridge, the couple now teach others.
Mr Farnell said their dancing has probably played a big part in such a successful marriage.
Over the years the couple, who married on March 21, 1953 in Kings Norton, have had three children and now have seven grandchildren.
Mrs Farnell also thanked Sainsburys who gave her a bouquet to celebrate the happy occasion.
