AT the March 12 meeting, it was reported there were now 43 members and new members and visitors were welcomed.
This is a happy situation when membership nationally is declining.
Two coaches had now been booked for the autumn trip to London and entries for the county food and craft day at Bewdley in May were progressing.
The skittles team had lost their recent match but had one more match to play this season and were hoping for a better result.
There will be another Sunday afternoon footpath walk this month and a craft evening to make a greetings card will be held at the school on Thursday, March 27.
Unfortunately, the speaker for the evening failed to find her way round the Redditch road system but Mrs Jackie Gregory stepped in with an account of her latest visit to the Gambia with her boxes of jumpers and clothes for premature babies and Rita Massey organised a quiz on parts of the body.
The flower of the month was won by Rose Delgarno with a beautiful camellia.
The next meeting will be the members' meeting on Wednesday, April 9 at 7.30pm at Woodfield Middle School. The speaker will be Mrs Jill Bache of Casualty Union.
