TENBURY residents are being asked to get together to influence public transport issues in the area.
Transport officials, community representatives and Worcester County Council, are seeking to establish a community association to help drive a local scheme and interested residents are being invited to discuss the issue at an inaugural meeting at the Regal Community Centre on April 3 at 7.30pm.
Rural transport officer, Tony Mills, said: "Bus services in areas like Tenbury are usually inspired by community needs and it makes sense to have local people involved. The proposed community association will act through a management body to oversee, administer and develop a community bus and take a pro-active interest in community transport issues such as links to health and education.
The proposed constitution will be presented at the meeting and can be viewed at Tenbury Library prior to the meeting. Further information is available from Tony Mills on 01905 768415.
