MANY strikers may have melted into the background by now in a similar situation but not Harriers' goal-less target-man Drewe Broughton.
Not only is the forward an integral part of the attack despite his continued search for a first goal of the season, he is also never short of confidence.
Broughton's endeavour, ability to hold the ball up and his aerial strength is making him hard to leave out of Ian Britton's starting line-up.
Admittedly, Britton is likely to be losing patience with his 23-year-old striker who should have scored at least once in Saturday's 0-0 home draw with Rochdale.
The former Peterborough man also picked up a fourth yellow card of the season.
But Broughton stressed: "I have confidence in my own ability and have always scored goals.
"Sooner or later I will end up on a run and I am still confident I will get a good total by the end of the season.
"The main positive thing is my movement has been better inside the box. I'm at least pleased with the fact I'm getting the chances as a result.
"As a forward, you just have to take the criticism and the donkey calls. Even Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Michael Owen have bad spells in-front of goal.
"I admit I had some great chances though against Rochdale and I was devastated. But if I don't get over it, it will drag on and on.
"You have to be man enough to stand up and say that my job is to score goals.
"I will keep working on it in training and all of a sudden one will probably go in off my shin."
