ATHLETICS: The most successful Lacon Childe Road Race to date attracted 93 runners, including one from Norway.
Telford Athletic Club's Dave Mansbridge shattered the 10km course record of 36 minutes, set in 2000's inaugural race.
Mansbridge sprinted round in 34 minutes and 55 seconds, followed by Kidderminster and Stourport Athletic Club's Steve Gould in 35-13.
First lady home was Anne Fallows, of UWIC, in 43-12 and the top veterans were Kevin Burke, of Stourbridge, in 37-23 and Mary Lou Stinton in 53-58.
Twenty-nine runners tackled the 5km fun run course which was won by a Bridgnorth Athletic Club member in 13-29.
