The group's first meeting in Lickhill community centre, Stourport, was on March . Final preparations were made for the East African curry lunch at Molly Long's home on April 23.
Other items discussed included the banner, designed by Brenda Banner, and the resolutions meeting, when Mrs Banner, Patsy Anderson and Julia Rogers will present a resolution.
Art classes are full but a waiting list of names is being compiled.
Summer outings will include a trip to Bath on July 5, and St Fagan's, Cardiff, including the museum depicting Welsh life.
Reports were given by Iris Steadman on the Button Oak ramble, Molly Long on a Public Speaking event, and Mrs Banner on the new speakers evening.
Guest speaker Paul Cook, of Cooks Garden Centre, gave members many gardening tips.
The next meeting at the Lickhill venue will be on Monday, April 14.
The competition will be for "a favourite old boot or shoe".
