AT last the wrangling over the future of the Swan has reached a conclusion and it is a good deal for the people of Worcestershire and surrounding areas.
Chris Jaeger, as I have publicly stated before, is the ideal man to lead the theatre into a time of prosperity. But let's not be complacent. There is a great deal of hard work to be done to make the Swan a thriving theatre and everyone who has been involved in the struggle to keep it open now needs to support the venture.
As pointed out in your letters page recently by Frank Welbourne, who is a very active supporter of theatre in Worcester, we have a great number of local groups that have some superb talent in their ranks. We really don't want to waste that.
Judging by the line-ups there are at Huntingdon Hall, there is a real understanding of what local people want.
So let's prove it - make this the best local theatre around. Congratulations again.
MIK SYMONDS, Worcester.
