ANYONE with an interest in local history will get their first chance this year to see inside a historic Kidderm-inster landmark.
Caldwell Castle is holding its first open day of 2003 on Saturday, April 5, between 10am and 4pm.
Among items on display will be armour, portraits of previous lords of the manor and period furniture.
The castle, which dates back to 1347, was home to well-known historical figures, such as the Winter brothers, of Gunpowder Plot fame.
Entry is free and guides will be on hand. A new brochure outlining the building's history will be available for a small charge.
