A SMALL firm from Worcestershire could win a business trip to New York as the search for the 2003 British Small Business Champion gets underway.
The awards, now in their second year, recognise the achievements of entrepreneurs and their valuable contributions to the economy - both nationally and locally.
County businesses would be entered in the Midlands section, with other regions including the North, South of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The six regional winners will go through to a national final to be held on Friday, November 14, in London.

And the overall winner will then be presented with a trip to New York, where they will meet and exchange ideas with similar companies.
"These awards tap into the rich seam of business success stories normally hidden from view and showcase the invaluable contribution small firms make to their communities," said Stephen Pegge, head of external communications for sponsors Lloyds TSB.
A special Merit Award will also be handed out to the company that plays the most significant role in the local community.
The awards - also backed by the Federation of Small Business, the Trinity Mirror Group and Business in the Community - are open to firms with fewer than 50 employees.
