A TERRIFIED newspaper girl was left with singed hair after a youth tried to set it alight.
The girl was on her newspaper round in Kidderminster when four boys aged between 14 to 16 ran off with her paper trolley.
When she chased after them they set fire to some of the papers, then they kicked her, causing her to fall over.
One of the youths then tried to set her hair alight. The girl, who is in her mid-teens, suffered a minor injury to her leg. She was extremely shaken after the attack.
The boys are described as all wearing baseball caps. The one who tried to set fire to her hair was wearing dark blue jeans and a blue hooded jacket.
The assault took place in Gould Avenue West, Burlish Top, Kidderminster, at 5.15pm on Wednesday. Anyone with information should ring Kidderminster Police on 08457 444 888.
