A MAN was hit in the face with a piece of metal and had his wallet stolen.
The man, in his 20s, was walking home along a footpath that joins Waterfield Road in Hereford when he was approached by a man who demanded money.
When the victim refused, he was hit in the face with the piece of metal and fell to the ground.
Grabbed
The offender grabbed the victim's wallet and fled from the scene in a unknown direction.
He is described as being around 5ft 9ins tall with straight black hair brushed forward.
He was wearing a lightweight rainproof top with a hood.
The victim did not require medical treatment after the incident between 11.50pm and 12.05am yesterday.
