BOGUS officials conned their way into the house of an elderly woman but ran off empty-handed.
Two men claiming to be from the water board convinced the woman to allow them in her home.
They searched the house on Ransom Avenue, Cherry Orchard, Worcester, before leaving empty-handed towards Barnes Way at about 4.30pm on Tuesday, March 25.
Both are described as white men in their mid 20s.
The first was about 6ft tall, slim build, with short dark hair. He was wearing a grey and white check-patterned pullover and dark trousers.
The second man is described as being fatter in the face, about 5ft 8ins tall and stocky.
