CHILDREN put television presenter Adam Henson through his paces when he came to Worcester to promote green issues.
Adam Henson, who appears on the BBC's rural affairs show Countryfile, spoke to pupils and their headteachers about waste and energy at a special conference at County Hall yesterday, organised as part of the national Eco-Schools Programme.
Since its beginning in 1994, the programme has aimed to bring worldwide environmental matters into local classrooms.
"The Eco-Schools Programme is a major scheme that has already made a positive difference to school life in Worcestershire," said Councillor John Clive.
"Our officers have worked very hard to make sure it works well for Worcestershire."
