AN Upton-upon-Severn phone box threatened with removal by BT will now stay in the town.
The kiosk on the Hanley Road car park was earmarked for removal as part of a national rationalisation scheme. BT records showed the box was one of two call boxes on the site.
But now the phone company has confirmed that there is only one phone in the car park, and it will now not be taken away.
